Vehicle Overview
Redesigned for 2014, the latest iterations of the legendary E-Class Sedan and Wagon are everything you expect in an unexpected way.
You know the E-Class as the quintessential Mercedes-Benz. But do you really know it? The boldly reimagined 2014 E-Class brings together the Mercedes-Benz traditions of quality, craftsmanship, and innovation in ways you've never seen before. And if you find yourself staring, it's quite all right. Whether in Sedan or Wagon form, the 2014 E-Class was designed to be noticed.
From the outside, the unmistakable E-Class character is still apparent, but the lines are sharper and more aggressive than ever before. Leading the charge in Sport models is an all-new front grille with central Three-Pointed Star. Meanwhile, Luxury models receive a new interpretation of the legendary Mercedes-Benz front grille in a thick, chromed frame, crowned by the signature hood ornament. In both trims, sleek new single-unit headlights feature LED technology in the main beams as well as the integrated Daytime Running Lights. At the rear, newly sculpted bodywork leads into honed wraparound LED taillamps, underscored by a wholly restyled rear bumper. Completing the eye-catching alterations are all-new wheel designs, including distinctive looks for Luxury and Sport models.
The E-Class has always combined the best in luxury with the best in technology. But for 2014, it delivers a decidedly new expression of that legendary formula in its redesigned cabin. From the innovations of mbrace2™ -- the most comprehensive cloud-based telematics system on the planet -- and the intuitive Mercedes-Benz COMAND® system, to the rich grain of the dashboard and the soft, reassuring glow of interior ambient lighting, the E-Class is a rolling testament not only to the importance of groundbreaking driver aids and services, but the environment in which they're used. As embodied in the new, exquisitely crafted analog clock on the E-Class dashboard, our philosophy on luxury has always been that it's as much a matter of the qualitative as it is the quantitative.
Making its debut on the redesigned 2014 E-Class is DISTRONIC PLUS® with Steering Assist. This enhanced version of our radar-guided cruise control now has the ability to help you maintain a safe distance from other vehicles not just to the front, but to the left, right and rear as well, while Steering Assist helps keep you centered in your lane by monitoring road markings or even using the vehicle ahead as reference. Of course, it's all part of a larger suite of safety systems -- including our next-generation ATTENTION ASSIST® driver-drowsiness monitor and the new PRE-SAFE® PLUS for protection in rear-end collisions -- that continue to reset the very standards they set in the first place. Also new to the 2014 E-Class is available PARKTRONIC with enhanced Active Parking Assist that takes care of all the guesswork -- as well as the required steering, braking and accelerator work -- involved in pulling both in and out of a parking space.
Like every Mercedes-Benz, the redesigned 2014 E-Class forges its own path. Informed by experience yet anticipating what awaits on the road ahead, the latest addition to the E-Class legacy establishes even more uncompromising criteria against which others will be measured.
E-Class legacy establishes even more uncompromising criteria against which others will be measured. Yet in the end, it's nothing more than a product of an unyielding drive to fulfill a simple promise: the best or nothing.
